Earlier today I was demoing Werkilo to a car valet business.
We talked about social media, followers, and visibility. The usual frustration came up quickly. You can post consistently, build followers, and still most people never see your work. Following does not mean seeing. The algorithm decides. So we stopped talking about feeds and talked about something real. Their van. We added a simple QR code to the side as an example, pointing directly to a live werkilo feed. Anyone who sees the van can scan it and immediately see real jobs, real cars, real frequency. No hoping a post gets surfaced. If they scan, they see it. The QR code is tracked too, so interest is measurable, not guessed. This is what werkilo is about. Connecting offline work to online proof, without an algorithm in the middle. Real work. Real visibility.

Performance
Spent a little time this morning on performance, you can see we have two different, feeds, one which is empty and this one. Most of it is down to the images on this page, as have now enabled compression, and decent caching policies. Time will tell. P.S Used Termly before but ditched it, and rolled our own, made these numbers possible.

Saturday thoughts turned into an Alexa → Werkilo experiment. Voice is great for reading information. But using it for real actions could be far more powerful.

QR Car Sticker
One of the ideas, especially for tradespeople is to have a qr code board / car sticker. So followers can instantly see what they are doing. Perhaps outside a house where a new bathroom is being fitted. Someone passing by can scan the code and see what progress the feed owner is making on the job. We have tracking built in too.

Links in Tasks
What a great idea to add links into tasks, we have got that built this evening. Buy Now, Download Now, Watch Now, absolutely anything we want it to be. a cracking feature to add to a task.

Day 4
We spoke to people today, the primary goal is to start the ball rolling and get people knowing about the platform and the brand, and getting them to feedback. We have also contacted friendlies for them to start trying to use the platform. And the question of discover has come up. How can our feeds be found? So started optimising SEO on each task so this will start appearing in organic search.

Busy old day
Just a little bit done today, had some feedback on where the Add New Task is, and rightly so wasnt very happy about it. And can show off the before and after feature lol. I think a vast improvement and a cool little feature in there as recommended by Darren.
