What Are Subscriber Groups?

Subscriber Groups let you organise your subscribers into categories like "Finance Team," "VIP Clients," or "Beta Testers." When creating tasks on private feeds, you can choose which groups can see the content—ensuring the right people see the right information.

Step 1: Create a Group

  1. Go to Dashboard → Groups in the sidebar
  2. Click "Create Group"
  3. Enter a name (e.g., "Finance Team")
  4. Add an optional description
  5. Choose a colour for easy identification
  6. Click "Create Group"

Step 2: Add Members to Your Group

  1. From the Groups page, click the person icon next to your group
  2. Click "Add Members"
  3. Search or browse your subscribers from any of your workfeeds
  4. Select the subscribers you want to add
  5. Click "Add Selected"

Tip: You can select multiple subscribers at once using the "Select All" button.

Step 3: Target a Group When Creating Tasks

  1. Open your private workfeed
  2. Create a new task as usual
  3. Click the Publishing tab (calendar icon)
  4. Find the "Target Groups" dropdown
  5. Select one or more groups
  6. Publish your task

Note: The Target Groups option only appears on private feeds.

How It Works

  • Tasks with no groups selected → Visible to all subscribers (default behaviour)
  • Tasks with groups selected → Only visible to members of those groups
  • Notifications → Email notifications are automatically filtered to only reach group members

Use Cases

  • Internal Teams: Share financial reports with Finance only, or project updates with specific departments
  • Client Tiers: Deliver premium content to VIP clients while keeping standard updates for everyone
  • Beta Testing: Release early features to beta testers before your wider audience
  • Regional Content: Target subscribers by location or language preference

Key Points to Remember

  • Groups are created at the account level—use them across all your private feeds
  • Subscribers don't see which groups they're in (admin-only information)
  • A task can be assigned to multiple groups simultaneously
  • You can edit group memberships at any time without affecting existing tasks
